How to install Facebook Pixel onto Webinarkit.mp4
Example: If this is the thank you page link, https://webinarkit.com/webinar/thankyou/664de98c0b8cff4472266f26?t=1769929170458
Take note that whatever is after ? is dynamic. which means it is different for every client based on the time that they registered for the webinar. Therefore you should do:
URL contains: https://webinarkit.com/webinar/thankyou/664de98c0b8cff4472266f26
How to Install the Meta Pixel on WebinarKit
This guide will show you how to install the Meta Pixel on WebinarKit, create a Custom Conversion, and optimise your Facebook ads for webinar registrations.
Step 1: Open Facebook Ads Manager
Go to:
Facebook Ads Manager
If you don't already have a Meta Pixel:
Click the ☰ (Menu) button.
Under Manage Business, click Events Manager.
Or go directly to:
Facebook Events Manager
Step 2: Copy Your Meta Pixel
In Events Manager, select your Meta Pixel.
Click Add Events.
Choose From a New Website.
Select Install Code Manually.
Copy the entire Meta Pixel base code.
Step 3: Install the Pixel on All WebinarKit Pages
Log in to WebinarKit.
Open your webinar.
Install the Meta Pixel on every page of your webinar funnel.
For each page, navigate to:
Settings → Page Header ScriptsPaste your Meta Pixel base code into the Page Header Scripts section and click Save.
Repeat this for all of the following pages:
Registration Page
Thank You Page
Watch Room (Live Webinar) Page
Replay Page
Installing the Meta Pixel on every page allows Facebook to track visitors throughout your entire webinar funnel, including:
Visiting your registration page
Completing their registration
Attending the live webinar
Watching the replay
This also allows you to create more advanced Custom Audiences and retargeting campaigns in the future.
Step 4 (Optional): Verify Your Pixel Installation
Before creating your Custom Conversion, it's a good idea to confirm that your Meta Pixel is firing correctly.
Install the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension:
Meta Pixel Helper (Chrome Web Store)
After installing:
Open any of your WebinarKit pages.
Click the Meta Pixel Helper icon in your Chrome toolbar.
Confirm that your Meta Pixel is detected.
You should see a PageView event with no errors.
If you see your Pixel firing successfully, you're ready to move on.
Step 5: Create a Custom Conversion
Go back to:
Facebook Events Manager
Select your Meta Pixel.
Click Custom Conversions.
Click Create Custom Conversion.
Configure it as follows:
Conversion Name
Visited TY PageConversion Event
All URL TrafficRule
Choose:
URL containsFor example, if your Thank You page is:
https://webinarkit.com/webinar/thankyou/664de98c0b8cff4472266f26?t=1769929170458Take note that everything after the ? is dynamic and changes every time someone registers.
Therefore, do not use the full URL.
Instead, configure the rule as:
URL contains
https://webinarkit.com/webinar/thankyou/664de98c0b8cff4472266f26Facebook will ignore the changing query string and correctly count every webinar registration.
Category
Select:
LeadClick Create.
Why Do We Use the Thank You Page?
We use the Thank You page because it is only shown after someone has successfully completed the webinar registration form.
This means:
If someone only visits the Registration Page, they are not yet a lead.
Once they submit the registration form, WebinarKit redirects them to the Thank You Page.
Therefore, anyone who reaches the Thank You Page has successfully become a lead.
By creating a Custom Conversion based on visits to the Thank You Page, you're telling Meta:
"Count everyone who reaches this page as a successful lead."
This gives Facebook a much more accurate signal than simply optimising for page views or link clicks. Over time, Meta's algorithm will learn to find people who are more likely to complete your webinar registration and reach the Thank You Page, helping improve your lead quality and campaign performance.
Since WebinarKit appends a dynamic timestamp to the Thank You Page URL, you'll use URL contains (without the dynamic portion after the ?) so that every successful registration is tracked correctly.
Step 6: Use the Custom Conversion in Your Campaign
Return to:
Facebook Ads Manager
When creating or editing your campaign:
Choose your campaign objective (Sales or Leads).
Under Conversion Location, select Website.
Select your Meta Pixel.
Under Conversion Event, choose:
Visited TY PageFacebook will now optimise your ads for people who successfully reach your WebinarKit Thank You page instead of simply clicking your ad.
Once this setup is complete, Meta will be able to accurately track webinar registrations and optimise your campaigns for people who successfully register, while also collecting valuable data across your entire WebinarKit funnel for future retargeting and audience building.
